Delta 9 Bio-Tech – The Cannabis Times – A quarterly e-newsletter designed to promote ACMPR industry trends
  855-245-1259 |

Hi there,

It's been far too long since we last sent our inaugural e-newsletter. Our goal going forward is to send out a quarterly e-newsletter to help keep you informed about Delta 9, share industry news, discuss market trends, promote new products and more. Needless to say, we've been extremely busy on several fronts since we last connected.

Now in our 3rd year as a Health Canada Licensed Producer, we have several exciting initiatives to share with you. First of all, we recently re-vamped our Compassionate Pricing Program (CPP) to accommodate all of the patients on our waiting list that require financial assistance to procure their medicine. See below for more details regarding this new program.

Additionally, we're currently expanding our overall production capacity which will increase the number of strains that we can offer our patients. At present, we have a rotation of approximately 15 different strains that are continuously available to our patients, with a commitment to always having our signature, award-winning Sativa strain, Super Lemon Haze. As our growing capacity increases over the next 6-9 months, we intend to re-introduce several more strains from our current genetics supply of over 60 unique strains, several of which are from global cannabis pioneers such as Serious Seeds and the Green House Seed Co.

In this newsletter, you'll find an article about how to choose the right vaporizer for your needs. Considering all of the options currently available in the marketplace, our friends at Toronto Vaporizer, will help you decide on the right product. We'll also share a recipe from one of our patients that will help you make cannabis tea – a great alternative to ingesting cannabis through your digestive tract as opposed to through your lungs. Lastly, our Operations Manager, Matt, has recently written an article for home growers, that was published online at the Lift website regarding the "Importance of Sanitation in Your Growing Environment". Lastly, we recently came across a great new product at the Lift Expo in Vancouver that lets you store your cannabis in a discreet and contemporary fashion – check it out below.

As always, we welcome your valued input in terms of comments and/or suggestions.

Until next time,

Marshall Posner

Sanitation Within the Medical Cannabis Production Environment

Everyone has the ability to grow a plant, and it doesn't take a whole lot of know-how; a seed, some media, water, light, nutrients, and you're off and running. Cannabis is no exception to this rule. If you want to grow medical grade cannabis though, you'll need to consider some additional variables, with one of these key variables being "sanitation".

Introducing the New, Industry-Leading Delta 9 Compassionate Pricing Program (CPP)

At Delta 9, providing compassionate care and service to Canadians from all walks of life is a top priority. To date, we've successfully provided financial assistance to a large number of patients totaling upwards of $150,000 since the beginning of our Compassionate Pricing Program (CPP).

Unfortunately, based upon the size of our company and our output capabilities we had to limit the number of patients that could participate in this program, resulting in a large waiting list. Rather than remove existing patients from the CPP after a term limit and then bring on new patients from the waiting list, we elected to modify the compensation model so as to provide the best possible discount to as many patients as possible. As a result, we are now able to provide financial assistance to every one of our patients that requires it.

It also means that we currently have the best CPP available in Canada!

Here's how it works:

  • Delta 9 patients that qualify for our CPP will have access to one or more eligible cannabis strains per month that will only cost a flat rate of $5.75/gram.
  • Delta 9 patients that qualify for our CPP can purchase up to 60 grams per month of the CPP eligible strain(s).
  • Additional premium strains will also be available to all Delta 9 patients. With a minimum order of 30 premium grams, you will receive a quantity discount of $1.00 off per gram.
  • Delta 9 is committed to always having at least one cannabis strain eligible for those clients participating in our CPP.
  • Quantity discounts and CPP discounts cannot be used in conjunction with one another.

In order to qualify for our Compassionate Pricing Program and begin ordering your medicine at a discounted rate, simply send us proof of your current low income situation by submitting a copy of your most recent Notice of Assessment from the Canada Revenue Agency.

How to Brew Cannabis Infused Tea

Before we get started in outlining an excellent recipe for brewing a potent and therapeutic cup of cannabis tea, we want to give you some background info that you might find useful. For numerous patients, drinking this easily prepared therapeutic tea offers a convenient and potentially healthier alternative to other methods of consumption such as smoking or eating. Also, because the THC is absorbed gradually through the digestive tract, rather than being immediately taken in through the lungs, the effects of the tea usually take anywhere from 30-90 minutes to manifest themselves. This also results in longer lasting effects, usually in the 4 to 8 hour range. READ MORE

Discreet, Contemporary Cannabis Storage

Quality Craftsmanship and Materials

Drawing on the classic style of handsome leather bound tomes, the 4 strain stormebud is decidedly elegant cannabis storage. The book is finely crafted from North American hardwood with inset brass hinges and a magnet closure.

The quality cover has the look and feel of leather, and is the perfect rolling surface: it has just enough drag to hold your bud and just enough slickness to let it move. The flagship stormebud title, "Chasing Calm" is printed in gold on the spine.

There are 4 freshness sealed 145 ml food grade jars and lids included, and they hold between 7-14 grams of cannabis each. The covers are available in 3 timeless colours: oxblood, navy and deep charcoal. These design neutrals will work in traditional or contemporary interiors.
